Dear taxpayers and internet users: Welcome to the website of Xiamen Local Taxation Bureau! I, on behalf of all of my staff, extend sincere thanks to you for your love and support to us! The Xiamen Local Taxation site is the products of Xiamen local taxmen’s incessant exploring and innovation. In the mid-1990s, informationization started to change the world at an unprecedented pace. We’ve followed the social and technological trends to implement the strategy of promoting taxation through science and technology. With our incessant efforts, we have already built up a wide-area computer network, with minicomputer groups and large databases as platforms, gigabit fiber connection, which has covered all of the local tax branches. Based on this network, we’ve formed an integrated application system of tax administration, routine operation and tax-paying service, and basically realized the pattern of tax by network, office automation and service informationization, leading to the change of tax administration from manual operation to computerization. As the important component of the informationization program and a main window of tax-paying services, the Xiamen Local Taxation Website, from its release, is thriving under your help. As time goes by, the site, after several times’upgrades , has already grown into a fully dynamic website, with multi-functions of information release, tax and fees payment and consultation, whistle blowing tax evasion and complaints on tax abuse, CA certification, ect. Logging onto this website, you are not only able to file tax returns and pay tax and social insurances, submit financial report forms, register and apply for tax-related matters, download tax forms and documents, but also able to find news and information on taxes, and check your own tax and social insurances payments. With the characteristics of multiple functions, quick and convenient access, and all day long service, the website has attracted a growing number of taxpayers. As a result, the website hit increases significantly. On June, 2003,the hit reached its first 1 million, and only 2 years later, this number soared to 10 million. At the end of 2007, it reaches 26 million. Now the peak number is seventy thousand per day, and the one-month page view reaches 600 thousand or more. In 2007, the Xiamen Local Taxation website ranked second in the comprehensive assessment on the 68 provincial (including cities specially designated in the state plan) tax sites arranged by the State Administration of Taxation of China.
